“My grace is sufficient for you.” ~ 2 Corinthians 12:9
I’ve sat alone in the bathroom on the floor, back to the wall and just begged the Lord to take it away, and He said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now, I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
Yes, I will share my testimony, but really all I’m doing is telling what the glory of the Lord did for me! A Glory-Teller.
If we were getting coffee together today, here’s what I would tell you about what Jesus has been teaching me:
My calling to be His and with Him will always come before my calling to do what I do for Him. I don’t have to live a life of striving for His acceptance or in fear of His rejection because His love for me is unconditional.

It’s hard for us to comprehend a love that requires nothing of us, but simply invites us to receive it. It’s hard for us to accept that our value isn’t in what we do, but in the One who calls us His own.
So, we strive — and we search for it in our relationships, degrees, occupations, finances, followers, what we have, what we share, who we know…. yes, even those of us who know Him — we attempt to attach our identity to our ministry, our calling, what we do for Him and how people see and celebrate us because of it.
If we were sitting at coffee today I would remind you, like He is reminding me continually, that…
God wants to know you more than He wants to use you.
He wants to use you for His glory, He didn’t create you for what you have to offer, He created you to love and have to have a relationship with you.
His love has nothing to do with what you do or don’t do for Him, otherwise it wouldn’t be unconditional.
Be careful not to value being used by God more than you value knowing and being known by God and loving and being loved by Him.
Keep your pursuit of Him first in your life.
Your desire to live for Him will be a natural result, an overflow, of knowing Him. It’s in the awareness of His love for you that you will want others to know of His love.
Yes, He wants to use your life for His glory, but what’s most important to Him is that you REALLY know Him. Personally.
Take some time to just be with Him.
Your value isn’t in what you do for Him, but His unchanging love for you.
What would you tell me He is teaching you?
💌 In Him,
Stacy
